Family of 4 & Charlie at 2 Months

Here is a recent picture of our family of 4! Brock is 2 years old, and Charlie is 2 months old. I'll be honest, the first couple of months were pretty tough! I was having a difficult time juggling 2 boys with totally different "schedules". Now, over 2 months later, I'm getting better. Most of the time, I can get the naps timed right, so I get a good chunk of time to myself in the afternoon. Brock has been going to school 2x a week, so it's been nice to have that time with Charlie. I love Charlie's cheeks and adorable smile - I'm glad he's getting some fat on those bones!! Brock has been behaving a little better - he isn't in timeout as much these days. He is starting to like Charlie more and enjoys introducing him to his friends. I think that's pretty sweet. Brock wants to kiss & hold his baby brother all the time. Yes, it's very cute but gets a little annoying at times. So, we're just taking it one day at a time. Our Double Daves in McAllen has been open for a couple of months now. I need to make my way down there to see it (and get some PIZZA!)

Look at that bottom lip!

Finally...an update!!

Hello! So sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. I've been a little busy taking care of 2 boys under the age of 2. I'm finally posting some pictures from Charlie's birthday (he's 5 weeks old now)! Below is a picture of me about an hour before the contractions started...at exactly 39 weeks.

We had to take Brock to the hospital with us, and then Greg's mom came up to get him. I love this picture of me & my little guy...even though he got a little annoying through the contractions. ha!

A sweet friend went to our house to be with Brock, so Greg's mom could come back up to the hospital. My parents & Greg's parents were all there to welcome Charlie into the world!

I'm still here!!

We finally got to meet our niece, Ryan Grace! Ryan was born March 4th, and we were anxious to get our hands on her & squeeze those precious cheeks! Priscilla flew to Texas when Ryan was 2 months old (May 4th) - I was so proud of her for doing that all by herself. We really enjoyed seeing Priscilla & cuddling with Ryan!! The first few pictures were taken the day they got in town - we all met up at a UT baseball game...
Brock wanted to show his cousin a toy. I thought that was sweet.

Me with my pretty niece. :)

Brock is such a flirt and loves "older" women - ha! He also loves to pretend he's talking on the phone. He is so much fun and makes sure to keep his very pregnant mommy busy!
Below is a picture of Greg & Brock with Big Papa & Aunt Pam.
While Priscilla & Ryan were in town, we wanted to see them as much as possible! We were over at the Palmer's house a lot during that week. :)

Mom's Visit to Austin & More

After our trip up to the metroplex, mom came down to Austin for a few days. We started off at Santa Rita (neighborhood Mexican restaurant) on St Patrick's Day...

Mom was able to help out a lot with Brock - I had a doctor (28 weeks!!) & dentist appoinment while she was here, so they got plenty of "Brock & Nana" time.

On Friday, we drove out to the Austin Zoo. It's a small rescue zoo, but it was perfect for Brock.

We went on a train ride around the zoo...
We got to feed the deer & farm animals...
One of Brock's buddies let him borrow a shirt for "Rodeo Day" at school. He just needs a cowboy hat & boots. :)
Brock's Papa was a baseball star, but we think he's going to be a soccer player. :)

What Have We Been Up To?

Howdy! With a very active toddler, I haven't been able to update our blog as much as I would like! I have posted some pictures from the last month or so (from most recent to last month). The pictures start with our trip up to the metroplex. Brock & I were up there for a week, and Greg was up there for a weekend because he had to work. We had a good time playing with Nana, Papa & friends....
Toward the end of our trip, I went to Southlake to meet Meredith for lunch & shopping (she's due exactly a month after me - so fun!) Then, I drove over to Dallas to visit friends. I made a stop at the Blaisdells - the girls are getting so big! It was great to catch up with them. Then, I met some Dallas girls at my favorite - Mariano's - for Mexican food. Yummy! I really miss that place (and those friends!!)

The main reason we went up there was to attend my cousin, Alex's, wedding! It was held at the castle in Rockwall - so pretty!

Brock wasn't feeling very well that night, but he was looking darn cute!!

He didn't really feel like dancing...come to find out he had a double ear infection. Poor guy!
One day, we went to Veterans Park in Arlington - such a pretty day.
Brock taking a walk with his Nana & Papa.

Nana bought Brock a lawnmower to keep at their house to play with - he loved it!

In February, we were up in Arlington for a weekend to attend a wedding shower for Alex. These are some of the ladies on my dad's side of the family.
One weekend, the Beaudine girls came in town for a visit! It was fun to play with them! This picture was taken at Waterloo.

The kiddos watching a show...
In February, Austin got snow!!! Even though we didn't get much, Brock still got to see it. :)

Fun Pics

I love getting pictures of Brock doing what he does best - play! Our 19-month old little boy enjoys looking through books & being read to, goofing off around the house (especially with Rosie & Rylie), being silly in the bath & exploring (see pics below). Since I've last posted, we've been up to Arlington, seen snow in Austin and had friends come visit us in Austin. I'll post all of those pics at a later time...I'm off to bed, so I can keep up with my very busy toddler tomorrow!

18 Months

We finally got a new camera, so I've been busy taking pictures of our big boy. He is now 18 months old and weighs in at 31 lbs 3 oz and is 33.5 inches tall. He is such a fun kid and keeps us on our toes! He loves to play outside - chasing the neighborhood cats, finding rocks (and other interesting things) and trying to play with the older kids. He is still loving "school" and is learning about colors this month. He is full of energy and hugs. Such a sweet boy! Enjoy the recent pics...

VACATION!! Ski Trip - January 2010

Last month, Greg & I went to South Lake Tahoe with the Edgemons. Laura & I were college roommates, and I'm so thankful we have remained friends through the years. Brock stayed with my parents in Arlington while we were gone - 4 nights (he did great!!)! It was a much-needed vacation for all of us, and I'm thrilled we got to get away before the newest addition to our family arrives! It snowed pretty much every day we were there - it was gorgeous (and cold)! I was about 20 weeks along in my pregnancy and feeling great!

While there, they experienced the largest snow storm since 1982, so we were lucky enough to endure it with them. ha! We even had to get chains for the minivan's tires - this was after much sliding! Yikes! Below is a picture of the guys reading the directions that came with the chains...

The guys did such a geat job. :)

I didn't ski, but I enjoyed spending the days reading, going to the gym, shopping, etc. Greg & I had a whole day together - walking around town, catching a movie, gammbling and just hanging out with each other. So nice! Matt, Laura & Greg had a good time skiing and got to see the awesome views from the mountains! See the lake in the background?

Lake Tahoe is a great place to go - we had fun at the casinos & did pretty well I must add. Below are a couple of pictures taken at the Hard Rock Cafe (in one of the casinos).

This is the only pic of the 4 of us - just hanging out in the condo, about to devour our Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory apples. YUMMY! Oh, and while on our trip, we all discovered Linda's Lollies (www.lindaslollies.com). We loved them so much that we placed a bulk order of them when we got home. ha! I know it sounds funny, but they are really that good! Our favorite flavor is Pina Colada. :)
